#15 Blind Man's Song

Pleasance Dome

Dramatic mine with a live musician and two anonymised actors presenting a lost love story. Man in red and the "narrator" as a faded version of him. Woman in green. Green handkerchief a key plot device. Colour as scent? Colour as memory. Less acrobatic than Flight, but expressive dance still. Main prop a hard looking bed wildly on the move. Most curious false ending at climactic point. Totally against storytelling playbook. Sequence describing the curse of tinnitus. Blind man making wreck of his world under the interminable ringing. Had to grope for the plugs myself. A fine performance, if too leisurely paced.
